Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は電池の電槽と電槽蓋との熱板を使った熱溶着方
法の改良に関するものである。
従来この種の溶着方法においては、電槽および電槽蓋の
溶着面を熱板を使って熱溶融させて溶融面を合わせ両者
を接合していたのであるが、電槽蓋の溶着面および熱板
が平面状であるために、溶着の際に両者に対する押付け
が弱い場合には溶着が完全とはならないことがしばしば
生起した。
本発明は上記の欠点を除去するもので、この目的達成の
ために、電槽蓋の電槽との溶着面を断面円弧状の凹面と
なし、該凹面をこれと同形状の熱板で溶融した後電槽と
溶着せしめる電池の製造法である。
本発明の一実施例を図面について説明する。
第１図はポリプロピレン樹脂の電槽蓋を示すもので、電
槽との溶着面ｌは断面円弧状の凹面を形成している。こ
れをポリプロピレン樹脂の電槽に溶着するには、第２図
に示すように、一方の面が電槽蓋の溶着面１を溶融させ
るための断面円弧状の凸面２を備え、他方の面が電槽３
の溶着面４を溶融させるための平坦面５を備えた熱板６
を使って、前記凸面２を前記溶着面１に、前記平坦面５
を前記溶着面４に当接して固溶着面１．４を溶融すると
、第３図に示すように、電槽蓋の溶着面１は断面円弧状
の溶融層１ａを形成し且つ該溶融層１ａの雨下端１ｂが
少し外側に開くような状態で下にさがり、また電槽３の
溶着面４は平坦状に溶融層４ｃを形成し且つ両縁４ｄが
横に広がった状態となっている。
このような状態の溶融層１ａ、４Ｃを加圧接合すると、
第４図に示すように、溶融層１ａの雨下端１ｂが両縁４
ｄを含む溶融層４Ｃをだ〜き込むような状態となって両
者が溶着される。
従って、溶着面１．４の溶着は従来の平面状の溶着と異
なって、両者への溶着時の押付けが弱くても、より強固
に完全な状態となる。
以上のように本発明によれば、電槽蓋と電槽との熱溶着
が従来法より、より完全で強固に溶着することができる
等工業的価値共だ大なるものである。

    凹面をこれと同形状の熱板で溶融した後電槽と溶着せし
