Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、吸収性に優れ且つ、皮膚に対する感触に優れ
た生理用ナプキンに関する。
従来の生理用ナプキンは、綿状パルプ、吸収紙等からな
る吸収体、その下面、及び側面に配される防漏層及び全
体を包み込む不織布外包材から構成されている。
この様な生理用ナプキンの表面層を形成する不織布とし
ては湿式不織布又は、乾式不織布が用いられているが、
湿式不織布は組織がち密であり、その疎水性繊維の混合
やバインダーにより撥水性を有し、血液に対する吸収性
は十分と言えない。
又、乾式不織布の場合、親水性繊維を用い、そのウェブ
固定用として、バインダーが使用されている為、撥水性
が生じ、湿式不織布と同様に、血液に対する吸収は不十
分である。これらの原因から、生理用ナプキンが実際使
用されているとき、局所より流出する経血の流れが早い
と経血は、ナプキン内部に吸収される前に表面を伝わつ
て流れ、横波れを発生させる難点がある。
又、同時に、使用時に、流出され、吸収された血液が一
部使用者の体圧によりナプキン内部から表面材を通つて
外部に押し出されて、使用者の肌を濡らし使用感を極端
に低下せしめる欠点を有している。
この様な血液の戻りを少なくする為、表面層の不織布を
撥水性にすることにより、改善する方策がなされている
。一例としては、不織布の構成繊維として、疎水性の合
成繊維を一部用いることが提案されている。これにより
血液の戻り現象は、かなり改善されるものの、この撥水
性の為に血液が流出されたときの吸収速度が著しく低下
し、横洩れの原因となる。以上述べた如く、生理用ナプ
キンの必要性能としては、血液の流出に対して速やかに
ナプキン内部に導き吸収し、且つその後、体圧により外
部へ戻ることが少ない点が望まれており、現在市販され
ているものにおいても吸収体として種々の吸収性高分子
の応用等その改善策が報告されているが、吸収速度（横
洩れ）と液戻りの性能を同時に満足するものは見い出し
難い。
そこで本発明者等は、吸収速度と液戻りといつた相反す
る性質を同時に満足する生理用ナプキンを見い出すべく
鋭意研究を重ねた結果、本発明に到達した。
即ち、本発明は繊維組成が９０〜１４０℃で溶融する熱
溶融性繊維３０〜８０重量％と１４『Ｃ以下では溶融し
ない疎水性繊維７０〜２０重量％からなる表面層を少な
くとも肌に接すべき表面に有し、この表面は１９／（１
７７１の荷重下に於て０．５〜１．２１１Ｌ１５ｇ／Ｃ
７７ｆの荷重下において０．２〜０．６ｍ７７！の厚さ
を有し、又この表面層は肌に接すべき第１の層とその内
側の第２の層とから成り、上記熱溶融性繊維と疎水性繊
維の重量割合が第１の層では５０〜１００：５０〜０で
あり、第２の層では２０〜６０：８０〜４０である様に
したことを特徴とする生理用ナプキンを提供するもので
ある。
本発明における熱溶融性繊維としては、９０〜１４０℃
で繊維の一部もしくは全部が溶融し接着性を帯びてくる
繊維であれば基本的に使用可能であり、具体的には、ポ
リエチＬ・ンーポリプロピレン複合繊維、低融点ポリエ
ステル−ポリプロピレン複合繊維等が望ましい。又、１
４０℃以下では溶融しない疎水性繊維としては、一般的
な合成繊維、例えばポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等の
オレフイン系繊維、ポリエステル繊維、ポリアミド繊維
、アクリルニトリル系繊維が望ましく、中でも価格が安
い点からはポリオレフイン系繊維が特に好ましい。
次に用いられる繊維の太さとしては、熱溶融性繊維は１
．５〜６デニールの範囲内のものが使用可能であるが、
第１の層（使用面側）に主成分として用いられること、
つまり風合いを重視すれば、１．５〜３デニール程度が
望ましい。
又、疎水性繊維の太さとしては、上記と同様風合いの点
で１．５〜６デニールが望ましく、より好ましくは１．
５〜３デニールである。
又、ウエブの形成状態としては、第２の層が第１の層に
対してやや弱く、接着されているのがよく、不織布の厚
みは、５９／ｄ荷重下において、０．２〜０．６ｍｎ１
更に１９／Ｃｄ荷重下において０．５〜１．２ｍｍの厚
さを有する不織布が本目的を達成するのに有効である。
つまり、５９／Ｃｒｌ荷重下においてその厚みが０．２
ｍｕ未満、１ｇ／Ｃｌｌ荷重下で０．５關未満となる様
な不織布は薄く、ポリユーム感がないち密状態に接着固
定されている為、風合、感触、呆かさの点で劣り、更に
、経血等がナプキンに嫉収された後、血液の内部より表
面への戻りが大ぎくなるといつた欠点が現われる。
又、５９／Ｃ７ｌ荷重下でその厚みが０．６ｍＩを越え
、１ｇ／ＣＴｌ荷重下で１．２ｍｍを越える不織布は次
の２種のものとなる。
その第１は、５９／ｄの荷重下においても０．６關を越
えた厚みを保持するものは非常に硬い不織布であること
を意味する。
この時当然１９／（１−JモV！荷重下では０．５ｍＷ！
を越えた厚みとなる。第２は１ｇ／Ｃ！７Ｌ荷重下にお
いてその厚みが１．２ｍ７１Ｌを越えることは形態的に
は単なる繊維集合体に近づく事を意味し、強度、表面の
毛羽等使用時の物理的な摩擦に耐えられない欠点を有す
る。本発明における５ｇ／Ｃ！ｌ荷重下でその厚みが０
．２〜０．６ｍｍで更に１９／ＣｒＩＬ荷重下でその厚
みが０．５〜１．２ｍ７１Ｌである不織布の特長は、風
合い、特に、第２の層が弱接着となつている為、感触、
柔かさの点で優れている。これは、１９／Ｃｄ荷重、５
９／ＣＴＩＩ荷重下での厚みの変化からも十分子想され
る。又、これら不織布を通し、ナプキン吸収体内部へ吸
収された血液の表面への戻りは、その５９／（１−Jモ
V１荷重下での厚みの為、表面へ直接導かれず、ベタツ
キ、使用感等に優れている。又、本発明の生理用ナプキ
ンの表面層は第１の層が熱溶融性繊維を５０〜１００重
量％含有するように構成されている点から、表面での接
着が十分なされており、使用中での物理的な摩擦による
毛羽の発生も少ないといつた利点も同時に見られる。
しかし、第１の層が熱溶融性繊維が主成分となつている
為、その坪量（１７ＴＩ当りの重量）が大きくなると硬
くなる傾向を示し、使用感の低下を招く、そこで坪量と
しては第１の層が５〜１５９／ｍ”が望ましい。
又、第２の層は、熱溶融性繊維の配合比率が２０〜６０
重量％と低く、弱接着となつている為８〜２５９／ＴＩ
が望ましい。本発明の生理用ナプキンの表面層は例えば
次の様な方法により製造される。
即ち、通常のカードによつて第１の層となる繊維集合体
のウエブを形成させ、その上に繊維配列がランダム化及
び立体化された第２の層となる繊維集合体のウエブをネ
ツト状の支持の上において重ね合わせた後、熱風貫通式
熱処理機によつて、第２の層側より第１の層側に向つて
熱風を貫通させて接着することにより製造される。
本発明の生理用ナプキンは吸収体の構成や形態に特に制
約を受けるものではない。
例えば吸収体の構成としては第１図に示す如く、レーヨ
ンステープル綿２、綿状パルプ３、高分子吸収層４、吸
収紙５からなる構成のみならず、パルプ単体とか吸収紙
だけで構成されていても構わない。更に本発明の表面層
を外包材として、第１図に示す如く吸収体全体を被覆し
ても良いが、吸収体の一つの表面の構成を本発明の表面
層とし、他の表面にはいわゆる防漏層を用いても良い。
次に実施例により本発明を更に詳細に説明する。
実施例 １第１図に示す様な不織布（表面層）１、レー
ヨンステープル綿２（０．３１）、吸収紙５（０．６９
）、綿状パルプ３（２．５９）、ポリラミ防水紙６（０
．６ｇ）、高分子吸収層４（高吸水性ポリマーを吸収紙
にてサンドイツチ形状にしたもの、吸収性ポリマー０．
３９、吸収紙０．６９）を用いて７５Ｘ１９５關の生理
用ナプキンを試作した。
表面層としては第１表に示す如く、一般に市販されてい
る繊維素材により得られた各種第１層及び第２層からな
る種々の不織布を用いた。これらの生理用ナプキンにつ
いて表面流れと、加圧下での液戻り量を測定した。結果
を第１表に示す。
表面流れ、液戻り量及び厚みの測定は次の方法により行
なつた。
表面流れ：４５。
に傾斜したサンプルの表面より上方１ｃｍより、馬の脱
繊維血液を滴下させ滴下点からサンプル内部に吸収され
た点までの不織布表面上を流れた距離を測定した。短い
方が吸収速度が大きく横洩れのないことを意味する。戻
り量：サンプルに馬の脱繊維血液１０ＣＣを吸収させ、
一定時間後に加圧させ、内部より不織布を通つて戻つて
くる血液量を測定した。この戻りが小さい程、表面での
ベトツキが少なく、使用感に優れる。厚み：適当な大き
さに切断したサンプル１０枚の上面より１、及び５９／
（１−７１の荷重をかけその厚みを測定の上、一枚当り
の厚みを算出した。
比較例 １表面層として、第２表に示す如く、第１層及
び第２層の二層構造からなり、厚みが本発明の範囲．外
の不織布を用いて、実施例１と同様に生理用ナプキンを
製造し、その表面流れ及び液戻り量を測定した。
結果を第２表に示す。比較例 ２ 表面層として、第３表に示す如く、第１層及び第２層の
二層構造からなり、熱溶融性繊維と疎水性繊維の比率が
本発明の範囲外の不織布を用いて実施例１と同様に生理
用ナプキンを製造し、その表面流れ及び液戻り量を測定
した。
結果を第３表に示す。比較例 ３ 表面層として第４表に示す一層構造の不織布を用いて実
施例１と同様に生理用ナプキンを製造しその表面流れ及
び液戻り量を測定した。
結果を第４表に示す。実施例１及び比較例１〜３の結果
より、本発明の表面層を用いて製造した生理用ナプキン
が、表面での血液の流れと更に内部から表面への戻りが
小さく、使用感に優れている事が分かる。
中でも、第１層としては製造工程上のカードが一機であ
り作業性、設備費用の面から、熱溶融性繊維１００＃Ｉ
のものが望ましい。
特に、第１層が１．５〜３デニールのポリエチレン−ポ
リプロピレン複合繊維（ＥＳ）７〜９９／ｍ”、第２層
が２デニールのポリプロピレン繊維（ＰＰ）５〜１１ｇ
／Ｍ２と３デニールのポリエチレン−ポリプロピレン複
合繊維（ＥＳ）３〜８９／ｗｌの混合体よりなる表面材
不織布を用いたものが全体的に良好な結果を示した。
又、比較例１は、表面流れは比較的良好な結果を示した
が、戻り量においてかなり劣り表面のベトツキとして感
じられる。
更に、本発明に比べ、全体的に硬い風合が欠点として現
われる。
比較例２は表面流れ、戻り量は比較例１とほぼ同様の結
果を示したが、風合い、毛羽、強度の点でそれぞれ欠点
が見い出された。
第１、第２層共に熱溶融性繊維が多い場合には硬い風合
いとなり、又逆に少ない場合には強度が弱く、使用時の
物理的摩擦により、毛羽又はひどい場合には破れが生じ
る原因となる。
特に第１層の毛羽、風合いに対する影響が大きい。

第１図は実施例１で用いた生理用ナプキンの断面図であ
る。 １：表面材不織布、２：レーヨンステーブル綿、３：綿
状パルプ、４：高分子吸収層、５：吸収紙、６：防水紙
。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 繊維組成が９０〜１４０℃で溶融する熱溶融性繊維
    ３０〜８０重量％と１４０℃以下では溶融しない疎水性
    繊維７０〜２０重量％からなる表面層を少なくとも肌に
    接すべき表面に有し、この表面層は１ｇ／ｃｍ＾２の荷
    重下に於て０．５〜１．２ｍｍ、５ｇ／ｃｍ＾２の荷重
    下に於て０．２〜０．６ｍｍの厚さを有し、又この表面
    層は肌に接すべき第１の層とその内側の第２の層とから
    成り、上記熱溶融性繊維と疎水性繊維の重量割合が第１
    の層では５０〜１００：５０〜０であり、第２の層では
    ２０〜６０：８０〜４０である様にしたことを特徴とす
    る生理用ナプキン。 ２ 第１の層の重量が５〜１５ｇ／ｍ＾２であり、第２
    の層の重量が８〜２５ｇ／ｍ＾２である特許請求の範囲
    第１項記載の生理用ナプキン。 ３ 熱溶融性繊維の太さが１．５〜３デニールであり、
    疎水性繊維の太さが１．５〜６デニールである特許請求
    の範囲第１項記載の生理用ナプキン。 ４ 熱溶融性繊維がポリエチレンとポリプロピレンの複
    合繊維であり、疎水性繊維がポリプロピレン繊維又はポ
    リエステル繊維である特許請求の範囲第１項記載の生理
    用ナプキン。 ５ 第１の層が１．５デニールのポリエチレンとポリプ
    ロピレンの複合繊維で構成され、その重量が７〜９ｇ／
    ｍ＾２であり、第２の層が３デニールのポリエチレンと
    ポリプロピレンの複合繊維３〜８ｇ／ｍ＾２と２デニー
    ルのポリプロピレン繊維５〜１１ｇ／ｍ＾２の混合体で
    ある特許請求の範囲第４項記載の生理用ナプキン。
