【発明の詳細な説明】 1′\ 2゛−)本発明は、合成樹脂部材の溶着方法に係るもの
、狐 で、さらに詳しくは、一方の管状部材の内部に他方の部
材を挿入し複数個の超音波振動ポーンにて一度に超音波
振動溶着する合成樹脂部材の溶着方法に関するものであ
る。
従来、二つの合成樹脂部材を治具と工具ホーンとの間に
設置し、工具ポーンより超音波振動を印加して接触面を
溶着してなる合成樹脂部材の超音波溶着方法はほとんど
の熱可塑性合成樹脂に適用できることから広く使用され
ている。
しかしながら、超音波振動溶着方法にあっては重ね合わ
せた部材の加圧接触された特定部分に強い応力が集中し
、この応力の集中した部分が超音波振動にて内部発熱し
溶融することから、一方の管状部材の内部に他の部材を
挿入し、該挿入して重なり合った周面を溶着するには欠
点を生じるものであった。即ち、第5図に示すように超
音波をくく内部発熱が良好に行なわれない。さらに被溶
着部材である管状部材が軟質の場合超音波振動が治具、
23側の接触面Bまで有効に作用せず充分な溶着強度が
得られなかった。
そこで、充分な接合強度を得るために、両部材を回転さ
せ、数度に分けて、超音波を印加させるという方法が採
られている。しかし、この方法であれば、超音波を数回
に分けて印加せねばならず工程数が増え、作業性がすこ
ぶる悪いという欠点があり、又そればかりではなく、溶
着された面とさねない面との境界Cに於いて、再度超音
波を印加しても、溶着強度に劣るという欠点を有してい
る。
本発明は」1記の欠点を解消するものであり、v下に本
発明の一実施例として、血圧測定に使用さt 、35る・・上2ターの吸排気用管体の溶着方法を説マ
ンセ、ターであり、/aは空気収容室である。
そしてマンセッター/の吸排気用管体は薄肉の犬[」径
管状部拐Ωと厚肉の小口径管状部イA3とを溶着して構
成される。
まず一方の比較的柔い大口径管状部4′A2の内部に他
方の小口径管状部材3を挿入し、その二つの管状部材が
重なり合った部分を被着部//とする。
次に該被着部//の外周面/、2を二つの工具ホーン?
a、、?bで押さえ、工具ホーン?a、、7bと太1」
径管状部組−との間に圧力を自するように二つの工具ポ
ーン7a、、7bで管状部4′Aを包囲する。
二つの工具ボーン7a、、7bは、若干の間隙を付して
おり、工具ボーン7a、、7b同志が接触しないように
配置する。次いで、それぞわの高周波発振機グにて、電
気的振動を発生させ、その電気的振動を振動子汐にて機
械的振動に変え、振動子に具ポーン7a、、7bにて接
合される管状部材の材質あるいは肉厚に適した振動に変
換され、この振動により被着部//の全周面を加熱溶着
する。この振動の振動数は、管状部Hにより異なるが1
.20KH7前後の超音波域の振動を使用するもの) 7する。溶着完了後、該且具ホーンを脱着して、本発明
の溶着方法を完了する。
工具ボーン7 a、 、’ 7 bの形状は、特に限定
するものではないが、発明者の実験によれば、二つの工
具ボーン7a、7bの分割P/の位置は、管状部4′A
の径の中・し・P、2より若干、分割の方向へ偏心させ
たほうが、均一な溶着強度かに’Jられることかわかっ
た。
被溶着部41の4:A質は合成樹脂である以外特に限・
定されるものではないが、特に本発明においては超音波
振動を内部に吸113p Lやすい、即ち溶着が一般的
に困難な比較的軟質の低密度ポリエチレン。
軟質ポリ塩化ビニル、半硬質ポリ塩化ビニル及びポリエ
ステル系エラストマー、ポリウレタン系エラストマー、
EPDM等の各種エラストマー的性質を自する合成樹脂
を溶着するのに好適である。
なお、エラストマー的性質とはショアh30〜qq(A
、STM、D−,2,2グθ)の硬度のものをいう。
被溶着部材の形状は、一方が中空体、筒体等のよい。
工具ボーンの数は、」1記実施例では、2個であるが、
ス個に限定されることなく、例へば、第9図に示ず如く
、7個の工具ホーン/7a、、/7b。
/7c、/76にしてもよく、あるいはそれ以」二とい
うようにλ個以」二の複数個であればよい。又高周波発
振機の数も工具ホーンの数に応じて設ける必要はなく、
例へば一つの高周波発振機より電気的振動を各振動子゛
に与えるという機構も可能である。
本発明の溶着方法によれば、複数個の工具ホーンから超
音波振動が一度に与えられるので、従来この種の超音波
溶着方法に必要であった数度に分けて両部材を回転させ
て溶着するという複数の接合工程を一度にできるという
利点を有するばがりでなく、溶着強度も従来のように数
度に分けた溶ることができる。
