Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は熱可塑性合成横側からなる電槽と」1蓋とを互
い良熱溶着せしめてなる鉛蓄電池の製造方法の改良に関
するものである。
従来熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる電槽と上蓋とを互い番こ
接合するに際し、熱溶着法を用いる蓄電池の製造力法要
こおいては第1図に示す如く。
電槽lと上蓋2との間に例えば弗素樹脂(商品名「テフ
ロン」)等よりなるシートを貼付した熱盤3を挿通し、
該熱盤3の伝導熱によって電槽lの接合部4と上蓋2の
接合部4′を加熱してト 軟化溶融せしめ吟後、熱盤3を取り去って電槽lと上蓋
2それぞれの接合部4,4′を当接し。
一定の加圧力を加えて両者を接合せしめる方法か採用さ
れていた。ところか上記の如き方法において、電槽lの
壁体5が比較的薄く形成されている処は、第2図、第3
図1こ示す如くに外方へふくらみ屈曲し、変形し易くな
ることかあり。
かかる変形した状態でそれぞれの接合部4.4′を加熱
し当接した場合1両者にずれを生じて電槽】と上蓋2と
の接合溶着か不完全となり、蓄電池の液密、気密か損わ
れ、漏液の因となるなとの欠点を有していた。
なお6は垂下部である。一 本発明は上記の如き欠点を除去するもので。
電槽の壁体上縁接合部で上蓋の垂下縁面の接合部とを熱
溶融して接合する際において、ri槽の外周面ならびに
接合部の外周面を覆わしめる鉄枠体内に電槽を格納せし
めて、電槽壁体の外方へのふくれ変形を矯正せしめつつ
接合部を熱溶融し、上蓋の接合部を溶着接合するもので
あって、溶着における接合部それぞれの縁面を確実に当
接ぜしめ溶着を確実完全に行なわしめる如く1こした鉛
蓄電池の製造方法を提供するものである。
本発明の一実施例を説明すると、1はポリプロピレン等
の熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる電槽。
2は同材質からなる上蓋、3は例えば弗素樹脂(商品名
「テフロン」)等よりなるシートを貼付した熱盤、4は
電槽1の壁体5の上縁面1こおける接合部、4′は上蓋
2の垂下部6の下総面における接合部、7は電槽1の壁
体5上縁面の接在となっている。
?Jj a 1と上蓋2を溶着するに際しては、極板群
か収納された電槽1を鉄枠I*7内に格納するのである
か、該鉄枠体7の内径は、電槽1の外径とほぼ同寸法に
設定してあって、電槽lを鉄枠体7に格納後間閉部8を
閉じるとき、外方のふくれ変形せる電槽1の壁体5は強
制的に内方へ押圧され、正常状態(鉄枠体7の内径形状
)に矯正され、かくして接合部4面上に熱盤3を乗置し
、又熱盤3の上面にては上蓋2の垂下部6の接合部4′
か接触溶融せられるようになし。
それぞれの接合部4 、4’iこおいて熱溶融せしめ。
軟化すれば吸着板(図示せず)にて上蓋2を一旦上方へ
引き上げ、然る後、熱盤3を横側方へ引き去って再び上
蓋2を降下せしめ、それぞれの接合部4.4′を当接せ
しめて、接合部4.4′に一定の押圧力を加え、接合部
4,4′を接合固着すれば、電槽lと上蓋2は確実に溶
着接合さと れて、完全なる液密気密を有する電槽1隻上蓋2の接合
体か製作されて、鉄枠体7から取り出すのであるか、鉄
枠体7への格納状態の11で接合部4,4′の溶融なら
びに抑圧接合を行なうので両接合部4.4′はすれるこ
となく確実に融着される。
上述せる如(、電槽と上蓋とを熱溶着せしめる際Iこお
いて、極めて簡単Iこして接合部を確実1仁溶首するこ
とかできる等工業的価値極めて大なるものである。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 合成樹脂からなる電槽と上蓋との接合部に熱盤を介在さ
    せて両接合部に当接し溶融軟化せしめて後、熱盤を除去
    して両接合部を接合固着せしめる鉛蓄電池の製造方法に
    おいて、電槽の外径とほぼ同等なる内径を有する鉄枠体
    内に電槽を格納せしめて?6槽壁部のふくれ屈曲変形を
    矯正しつつ電槽、上蓋それぞれの接合部を熱溶融して接
    合固着することを特徴とする鉛蓄電池の製造方法。
