【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は、電子装置等の冷却に用いられるファンの障害
を検出する方法に関する。

従来、電子装置の冷却を行なうためυファンの障害は冷
却される装置に温にセンサを取付け、ファンが故障して
回転数が低下した9回転が停止した場合に装置の温kが
上昇することを検出してアラームを出してい九〇 しかし、X子装置に収付けΦような温度センサの故障が
多くま九、ファンの故障発生から装置の温度が上昇する
までに時間遅れがあって早期にファンの故障t−検出す
ることができなかった。

駆動電流を検出し検出値が所定範囲管外れた時に該ファ
ンの障害とすることにより達成される。

以下1図面を用いて本発明の一実施例を説明するO
本実施例では、ファン1會駆動する電源2とファン1と
の間に電流検出器3を設ける。このIE電流検出器、一
般に電流針の原理に基づくものである。このような構成

流れるので予め電流値の正常範囲を設定しておくことに
より、ファン1に障害が発生して回転数の低下や回転停
止が生ずると電流値が上記正常範囲管外れるので、これ

ビ具−夕のCPUK送出する。

- ファンを駆動する駆動電流を検出し、検出値が所定範囲
を外れた時に該ファンの障害とすることt特徴とするフ
ァンの障害検出方法。
