Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the thermal efficiency of an internal combustion engine, which uses as main fuel the hydrogen obtained through electrolysis of water made by the power just generated, by collecting the exhaust heat using a heat exchanging fluid in the form of thermal energy.
CONSTITUTION: When a starter 24 is operated, the auxiliary fuel 4 and the air from an intake 11 are fed through a carburettor 8 to start the internal combustion engine 1. Power generated at a DC generator by the rotation of this engine 1 is supplied to a hydrating vessel 3 through a resistor 22, where the hydrogen generated regularly, 6, is taken as main fuel and the auxiliary fuel 4 reduced while oxygen 7 is supplied in a necessary amount regulated by a regulator 9. Thus ebgine parts 13, 15, 16 and a silencer 17 are heated, so that energy collection can be made by circulating a heat exchanging fluid 14 and the collected energy is used in a heat, a boilder for water warmer, etc.
