Abstract

CONSTITUTION: After shrinkage fitting a low alloy steel sleeve 2 to a journal section 1a, a cooling unit 6 is fitted around a rotor 1 on the side of a coupling 3 and operated. A pressure jig 11, divided in a half ring and having a heater 10 in it, is fitted around the coupling 3 and inside a ring like binding jig 9, which has a larger interior diameter than the maximum diameter of the coupling 3 and incorporates a heater 7 and a cooling unit 8, and they are sealed with a sealing plate 12. A splicing face 13 is held under vacuum, and heaters 7, 10 are fed with electricity. After a splicing temperature is attained, the cooling unit 8 is operated, then the binding jig 9 shrinks, and the face 13 is pressed under a heated condition and spliced by diffusion.
