PROCESS: The compound of formulaIis prepared by (1) condensing the protected amino acid of formula II (A is protecting group) or its reactive derivative with the aminoethylphosphonic acid of formula III in a solvent such as benzene in the presence of a condensation agent such as dicyclohexyl carbodiimide, and (2) carrying out the removal of the protecting group and the hydrolysis by the treatment with an acetic acid solution of hydrobromic acid, etc. followed by catalytic reduction.
