NEW MATERIAL:A tetrazole derivative of formula I [R1 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, or phenyl; A is S or alkylenethio; l is 0 or 1; B is alkylene; R2 is OH, alkoxy or group of formula -N(R3)R4(R3 and R4 are H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, or phenyl, or R3 and R4 may together form a heterocyclic group)] or its salt.
EXAMPLE: N-ethyl-N-cyclohexyl-4-( 1-methyl-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrazol-5-yl )thio-butylamide.
USE: Antiulcer agent.
PROCESS: A compound of formula IV which is one of the compounds of formula I can be obtained by reacting a carboxylic acid of formula II in which the carboxyl group may be activated, with an amide of formula III in which the amino group may be activated.
