Abstract
PURPOSE:To unnecessitate an explosion-proof structure and to perform measurement of high precision by transmitting an amount to be measured in the form of an interference luminous energy. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 2 from a laser oscillator 1 is transmitted through a beam splitter 3, and a polarizing beam splitter 4, led to a pentaprism of a beam distributor 6 through an optical fiber 5, made to fall from the pantaprism onto an optical fiber 10, and sent to a displacement transducing mechanism part 12, while one of the reflected lights therefrom passes through the same optical path to the beam splitter 3 and reaches a polarizing plate 20. The other reflected light with an oscillatio plane being different at an angle of 90 degrees passes through the same optical path to the glass fiber 5 and then, passing through the polarizing beam. Splitter 4, a 1/4 reflecting plate 21, a mirror 22, a 1/4 wavelength plate 21, the polarizing beam splitter 4, a 1/4 wavelength plate 23, a mirror 22, the polarizing beam splitter 4 and the beam splitter 3, reaches a polarizing plate 20.
