Abstract

PURPOSE: To write in the servo signal representing the track position on the magnetic disc in high accuracy, by providing one perpendicular reflection mirror on the head arm in shaking magnetic head and reflecting the laser light on it.
CONSTITUTION: The laser light 10a emitted from the laser light source 10 is divided into two, the light 10b reflected orthogonally and the light 10c transmitting and going straight, with the beam splitter 11. The laser 10b reflected is incident to the reference orthogonal reflection mirror 12, reflected on the both reflection surfaces, and is incident to the photo detection measuring unit 13 via the beam splitter 11. On the other hand, the laser light 10c transmitted from the beam splitter 11 is incident to the shaking orthogonal reflection mirror 14, reflected on the both reflection surfaces, transmitted through splitter 11 and is incident to the photo detection measuring unit 13. Although the changed part λ of the light path of the laser light 10c is measured at the photo detection measuring unit 13, since the shaking angle θ is known from equation (1), the result can set the head arm 1 at desired shaking angle via the actuator drive control section 15.
