Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to establish the voltage of an induction generator stably by operating an AC/DC converter in bypass pair at the initial stage of establishment of the voltage, operating a separately-excited inverter with a rectifier, and storing energy in a DC reactor. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage of an induction generator IG is established, upper and lower arms of AC/DC converter 1 for one phase are simultaneously energized, the phase angle of a separately-excited inverter 2 is controlled to operate a rectifier, and energy is stored in a DC reactor 3. When this energy and hence the current of the DC link circuit reaches the sufficient value of exciting the generator, the converter 1 is returned to the normal operation to establish the voltage. In this manner, the voltage of the generator can be stably established without installing a new device.
