Abstract

PURPOSE:To drive a semiconductor laser beam with fidelity in accordance with a waveform of a transmission signal by a method wherein a laser beam spectrum is divided into a plurality of beams, while each thereof is provided with an interference property remarkably lower than the semiconductor laser beam. CONSTITUTION:Collector of transistors (TR) 21, 22 are connected to a source terminal 25 through a resistor 23 and a semiconductor laser 24 respectively. A common emitter output terminal of the TR21, 22 is connected to on output terminal 27 through a current stabilizing circuit 48 which is composed of a TR26 and a resistor 28 connected in series. The bases of the TR21, 22 are connected to the respective junctions of DC bias circuits 32, 33 and 29, 30 which are connected between the terminals 25, 27. A transmission signal input terminal 46 is introduced out of the base of the TR26 which composes the current stabilizing circuit 48 and a switching high frequency signal input terminal 39 is introduced out of the base of the TR21. With the above embodiment, the laser beam can be drivin with high fidelity in accordance with the waveform of the transmission signal.
