Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain stable performance from a low speed range to high speed range in an ignition device performing plasma ingition, by providing a circuit directly feeding power to the primary side of a boosting transformer partially from an output winding of an AC generator. CONSTITUTION:At low speed of an AC generator 26 not fully with output power, a contact (a) of a relay 33 is closed to excite a solenoid switch 34, and voltage is generated in the secondary side of a boosting transformer 4 from a battery 1 through an oscillating circuit 3 to charge capacitors 19. At speed becoming not less than a preset value, output of the AC generator 26 becomes a level fully enough for feeding ignition energy, and the relay 33 is turned to a side (b) to excite a solenoid switch 35, then the solenoid switch 34 is turned off while the solenoid switch 35 is turned on, thus the capacitors 19 are charged through a transformer 4' by supplied power partially from an output winding 27 of the AC generator, finally plasma ignition is performed by the prescribed timing.
