Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct pressures by means of a swirl flow meter which detects a quantity of engine's suction air in order to a chieve a precise air fuel ratio by providing an atmospheric pressure detector which detects an upstream pressure of the swirl flow meter and controlling a driving period of a fuel injection solenoid valve on the basis of an output of the detector.
CONSTITUTION: When a quantity of suction air is increased during engine run, a pressure of the suction air passing through a swirl flow meter 4 is suddenly reduced whereas an output of the swirl flow meter 4 is increased. This is similar to the case of a reduction in atmospheric pressure, and if a fuel is additionally supplied under that reduction state, an engine is excessively fueled. To correct this reduction in atmospheric pressure, an atmospheric pressure detector 10 detects an upstream pressure of the swirl flow meter 4. This detector 10 detects a stretching of a stretchable member 11 sensitive to an atmospheric variation in terms of an on-or-off period of contact points 15, 12 which make up a circuit for feeding with a current an electric heater 14 around a bimetal 13. Based on the result, a controller 6 controls a driving period of a solenoid valve 5 to provide a proper air fuel ratio.
