Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the amount of fuel supplied in an unit time by a method wherein a pressure control means, increasing the supplying pressure of a fuel injection valve in accordance with the load condition of the engine is provided to increase the injection pressure as the load thereof is increased. CONSTITUTION:A passage 27 communicating an exhaust passage 25 at the upstream side of a turbine 24B with the pressure chamber 14 of a pressure regulator 7 is provided as the pressure control means and the pressure at the entrance of the turbine 24B is introduced into the pressure chamber 14. According to this constitution, the supplying pressure for supplying to the fuel injection valve 8 is to be determined by the total sum of the elasticity of a coil spring 16 for the pressure chamber 14 and the pressure at the entrance of the turbine 24B. The pressure at the entrance of the turbine 24B has a property that it is increased in a heavy load area wherein the flow amount of the exhaust thereof is increased, therefore, a pressure difference between a fuel chamber 13 and a nozzle section 8A is increased in accordance with the increase of the engine load and the fuel injection pressure is increased. According to this method, the amount of the fuel supplied in the unit time can be increased.
