Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high-strength captioned device to realize uniform heat transfer utilizing the phase change of working liquid by a constitution wherein concentric grooves are provided in the interior at the both ends of a tubular member and a hollow chamber, within which a working liquid is sealed, is formed by connecting said grooves with a plurality of radial grooves.
CONSTITUTION: When an inner ring 5 is heated, the working liquid in the hollow chamber 9 evaporates by taking its latent heat of evaporation from the ring and the resultant steam moves upward along the grooves 7 to discharge its heat to the outside through an outer ring 6 and to condense itself. The condensed liquid flows down by gravity in the grooves 7. At this time, when an unevenness in temperature is produced, the uneven amount of steam generation occurs over the ring 5 and consequently the mutual movement of the steams from their generated parts is produced through the grooves 8 and 7, resulting in transfering the heat and uniformalizing the temperature. Because thick toothed parts 10 lying between a plurality of stripes of the groove 8 are opposed to increased internal steam pressure, external pressure or the like, the strength of the device can be improved. Consequently, the uniform heat transfer and the improvement of strength can be realized.
