(54) ADJUSTABLE HEAT PIPE
This invention relates to the field of heat transfer devices. Known regulated heat pipe with evaporation and condensation zones, steam channel and attached to the condensation zone by a reservoir of variable volume filled with non-condensing gas 1 The disadvantage of this pipe is the relatively low heat transfer capacity due to the blurring of the vapor-gas interface. The purpose of the invention is to increase the heat transfer capacity. This is achieved by the fact that the tank is made in the form of a closed shell of elastic material introduced into the vapor channel hermetically separated from the pipe cavity, the tank being fixed to the condensation zone with the possibility of changing the area of their contact. When the condensation zone is located at the pipe end, the reservoir on the side of the evaporation zone is provided with a limiter for its movement in the form of a perforated plate. The drawing shows a longitudinal section of an adjustable heat pipe. It comprises a housing 1 with evaporation and condensation zones 2 and 3, respectively, a steam channel 4 and a variable volume tank 5, which is attached to the condensation zone 3, with a non-condensing gas. The tank is made in the form of a closed shell 6, which is hermetically separated from the pipe cavity, of elastic material introduced into the steam channel 4, the tank 5 being attached to the condensation zone 3 with the possibility of changing the area of their contact. When placing the condensation zone 3 at the end of the housing 1, the reservoir 5 from the side of the evaporation zone 2 is provided with a restriction of its movement in the form of a perforated plate 7. The condensation zone 3 is equipped with external fins 8 and is separated from the rest of the housing 1 by the heat-insulating Ltavka 9. in a way. When heat is supplied and removed in zones 2 and 3 of evaporation and condensation, respectively, a conventional evaporation-condensation cycle is carried out in the pipe. With a nominal heat load, some of the surface of the condensation zone 3 is blocked by the shell 6. With an increase in heat flow in the evaporation zone 2, the temperature and vapor pressure increase inside the pipe, the shell 6 with non-condensing gas is slightly compressed, freeing up additional surface area in the condensation zone 3, while thermal resistance of this zone decreases, which causes a decrease in the temperature of the coolant vapor. With a decrease in heat flow, all processes go in the opposite direction. Thus, the temperature of the pipe is stabilized at variable heat loads, while due to the absence of a blurred boundary of the gas, the heat transfer capacity of the pipe is increased.
