Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a heat pipe to be highly effective even when made longer and to make it possible to control a heat transmission quantity, by heat-insulating with respect each other a working liquid passage and a vapor passage of a sealed tublar heat pipe in which a working liquid and its vapor are sealed, and by providing the working liquid passage with a flow control valve.
CONSTITUTION: A working liquid 4 in a lower liquid reservoir 6 is heated by a lowermost evaporation portion 3 to evaporate and is led through a vapor passage 12 to an uppermost condensation portion 2 thus to be used as a bottom heating mode. This vapor is cooled in the condensation portion 2 to be liquefied and returns to the lower liquid reservoir 6 via an upper liquid reservoir 5, a bypass 8 and a flow control valve 10. Thus the bypass 8 is arranged outside of a body 1, both of them are covered with heat insulating materials 11 to heat-insulate the vapor pasage 12 from the working liquid passage 9, so that if the distance between the evaporation portion 3 and condensation portion 2 is great, the heat losses can be reduced. Further the heat transmission quantity can be varied easily by the control valve 10.
