Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of a weld zone in toughness by adding a prescribed amount of C, Si, Mn and Al as basic components to Fe, further adding a prescribed amont of one or more among Ni, Cr, Mo, V, Nb and Cu, and restricting the amounts of N and B.
CONSTITUTION: The titled steel products contain 0.01W0.2% C, 0.1W1% Si, 0.2W 2% Mn and ≤0.1% Al as basic components and a secondary component. The secondary component is one or more among 0.1W5% Ni, 0.1W3% Cr, 0.05W0.5% Mo, 0.01W0.1% V, 0.01W0.1% Nb and 0.1W0.5% Cu. The carbon equiv. Ceq= C+Si/24+Mn/6+Ni/40+Cr/15+Mo/4+V/14+Cu/15 is adjusted to ≤0.4. The N content of the steel is restricted to ≤0.002%, or 0.02W0.01% N is permitted, and B is added in an amount satisfying equation 0.5<(B%/N%-0.002%)<1.5. By adding B, N is fixed as BN, and the unfavorable influence of N is prevented.
