Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain the printing density constant by controlling the energization time or the voltage wave peak based on the counted value of the time covering from the preceding energization to the present energization of a thermoprinting heating body in generating heat through energization thereof. CONSTITUTION:The time (T-T0) is counted based on a high frequency pulses HFP with a drive cycle counters 74-5 until the start of the printing on the line i from a time T0 after the printing is started on the line i-1. The counted value is latched with a latch circuits 74-6 at the start of the printing on the line i to retain the action until the start of the printing on the line i+1. A D-A converters 74-7 convert digital values of the latch circuits 74-6 to an analog values which are amplified with a power amplifier 74-8 to control the power (energization time or voltage wave peak) to be fed to the heating resistor so that preset time-supply power characteristics are satisfied.
