Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a load current constant independently of fluctuation of the power source voltage and the load, by giving a control signal corresponding to a peak value of the AC current in the current control device which controls a thyristor in accordance with an AC input current. CONSTITUTION:The AC power from a three-phase AC power source 1 is converted to a DC power by a rectifying circuit 2 consisting of thyristors 2a-2c, diodes 2d-2f, and a flywheel diode 2g and is supplied to a load 3. A current in the AD side, namely, a load current is detected by a current detector 4 and a current detector 5. The current detecting circuit 5 consists of a load circuit, which includes, for example, a diode of three-phase bridge connection, and a peak detecting circuit which outputs a peak value of the voltage generated in the load circuit. When the output of the current detecting circuit 5 is fluctuated, a control circuit 6 outputs a control signal, which changes conduction angles of thyristors 2a-2c, to keep the load current constant.
