Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the preservation performance of a thin battery by providing metal plated layers over and under a ceramic, and fusing the above layers to metal plated layers formed over sealing plates by means of soldering materials. CONSTITUTION:A generation element 1 consisting of a solid electrolyte 2, a negative electrode 3 and a positive electrode 4 is hermetically sealed with a ring- like ceramic 5, and sealing plates 6 and 7 also serving as electrode terminal plates, thereby a thin battery being constituted. Metal plated layers 12 and 13 are provided over and under the ceramic 5, and metal plated layers 14 and 15 are provided on the inner surface of the sealing plates 6 and 7. Metalized layers 10 and 11 are interposed between the layers 12 and 13 on the ceramic 5. The ceramic 5, and the peripheries of the sealing plates 6 and 7 are hermetically sealed by fusing soldering materials 8 and 9 which are interposed between the layers 12 and 13 and between the layers 14 and 15, respectively.
