Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which is stable in positive chargeability, is free from toner scattering and cohesion, and has high transfer efficiency at high humidity by adding the fine powder of silicate treated with aziridines (ethyleneimine, etc.) to a developer (toner). CONSTITUTION:Treated silicate is prepd. by dispersing fine powder of silica and silicate in water, adding aziridines such as ethyleneimine, styreneimine, and polyimines of <=10 degrees of polymn. of these imines thereto and maturing the same at room temp. for about 12hr at about 9.5pH after stirring, then filtering and rinsing the mixture followed by drying and pulverizing. This fine powder is kneaded together with toner raw materials, are mixed, whereby the toner stuck with the fine powder on the toner surfaces is obtained. The resultant toner is stable in quantity of charging by friction with carriers, sleeves, etc., provides images of good resolving power.
