Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which has no tack on surfaces, will not flocculate in storage, developing and cleaning stages, is fixed under low pressures in the stage of fixing by pressure and yields superior images by containing binder-impregnated powder in toner power. CONSTITUTION:Micro powder such as carbon black, white carbon or the like is dispersed in a soln. of a binder of acrylic type or the like, and is dried with a spray dryer or the like, whereby binder-impregnated powder is prepd. Additives such as magnetic powder are mixed, if necessary, with such impregnated powder and a binder, and after these are melted and kneaded, the mixture is ground and sieved by a conventional method, whereby toner particles are obtained. Hydrophobic colloidal silica is added to these, whereby a developer is obtained. This toner is fixable at a high speed under low pressures, does not contaminate developing sleeves and photoreceptors, will not stick thereon and yields excellent images.
