Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a negatively charging toner giving a clear magenta image of a superior hue free from fog by adding a compound belonging to C.I. Solvent Red 49 and a compound belonging to C.I. Solvent Red 52 to a binding resin. CONSTITUTION:A toner is prepared by dispersing rhodamine base FB or other compound belonging to C.I. Solvent Red 49 and ''Macrolex Red B5 '' or other compound belonging to C.I. Solvent Red 52 in a binding resin by 0.1-5wt% and 0.1-10wt%, respectively to the amount of the resin. The compound belonging to C.I. Solvent Red 49 is used in an amount equal to or smaller than the amount of the compound belonging to C.I. Solvent Red 52. Thus, a toner having high negative chargeability and giving a clear magenta image free from fog is obtd.
