Abstract

PURPOSE: To make timing of change-over to intensified pressure compatible with changes of the condition on the road surface, by changing over braking oil pressure from a reduced pressure to an intensified pressure when the detected friction factor starts to decrease.
CONSTITUTION: A friction factor detector 1 detects friction factor from braking torque T8, wheel ground contact load W and wheel speed VW. A discriminating circuit 2 gives output of H level signal when the friction factor μ starts to decrease. A recovery condition discriminating circuit 3 discriminates that the wheel speed VW is recovering toward the compatible vehicle speed, and gives output of H level signals. An AND gate 4 resets RS flip flop when the both signals are at H level, and when output Q of RS flip flop becomes H level, a hydraulic actuator 6 is changed over from a reduced pressure to an intensified pressure. Since oil pressure is controlled in response to the friction factor, change-over timing becomes compatible.
