Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform change-over to reduced pressure in the proximity of obtaining the maximum braking efficiency even if brake pedal stepping is changed, in such a way of reducing the pressure when the change rate of the deceleration of wheels drops to zero, during holding of the brake oil pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Wheel speed signal VW is converted into deceleration signal αW in the deceleration detecting circuit 4. A discriminating circuit 5 gives output in H level when the change rate of the deceleration signals αW drops to the proximity of zero. A timing signal generating circuit 6 drives a pressure intensifying command generating circuit 7 in response to the magnitude of the deceleration signal αW. While the intensified pressure is held in the pressure intensifying command generating circuit 7, e3 signal is given, and a pressure reducing command generating circuit 8 gives output of reduced pressure command by means of this and H level output of the discriminating circuit 5. A hydraulic actuator intensifies and decreases the brake oil pressure through the both signals. Since the pressure reducing command responds to changes of the wheel speed with changes in response to the friction factor, the reducing pressure timing can be made compatible.
