Abstract

PURPOSE: To properly perform skid control, irrespective of variation of road- surface condition, by holding the peak value of a wheel accelerating signal when a wheel speed recovers toward a vehicle speed in a skid phase and by increasing hydraulic pressure at an appropriate time after the holding of the peak value.
CONSTITUTION: When a wheel speed V recovers toward a vehicle speed in a skid phase, and if a wheel accelerating signal α obtained in a differential circuit 10 is above a set value α1, the output of a comparator goes to the high level to set a RS-FF15. In this state, if V1'=V2'=L (small slip ratio), the outputs V1, V2 of an OR gate 16 and an AND gate 17 go to the high and low leveles, respectively, to maintain a hydraulic pressure PW. If the α signal increases in this state to the peak value at a certain time, the peak value is substained in the hold circuit 12, and a signal β which is lower than the peak value by a predetermined ratio is delivered. If the signal α is below the signal β, brake pressure is increased.
