Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the highest efficiency even in abrupt reduction of road surface μ and sudden braking by increasing hydraulic pressure every time when deceleration of wheel becomes lower than a predetermined value within a predetermined time after retaining braking hydraulic pressure, and reducing the pressure when it becomes not less than the predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: Wheel deceleration signal αw is compared with a predetermined deceleration criterion αb in a comparator 11 which generated output signal V1 when the former exceeds the latter. this output signal is also sent through an inverter 12 and differential circuits 13a, 13b to the input of a timer circuit 14. The timer circuit 14 is operated by set input to a set terminal and stops its operation after a predetermined time. The input to a reset terminal stops the timer. An AND gate 15 generated V2 signal on the basis of Q output of the timer and V1 signal. Since the pressure is only maintained by V1 signal and pressure reduction and hydraulic actuator operation are provided by both signals, the pressure reduction can be properly carried out in response to any abrupt reduction of road surface μ.
