Abstract

PURPOSE: To properly detect a timing to obtain the maximum brake efficiency and make the deceleration curve of wheels constant even if the condition on the road surface may be changed, by reducing the rate in increase of brake oil pressure in response to deceleration of wheels.
CONSTITUTION: A reference signal generating circuit 1 gives output of reference signal er in triangular wave, and transmits this signal together with wheel deceleration signal αW to a comparator 3. A slip rate discriminating circuit 4 discriminates whether the slip rate is larger or smaller than the slip rate which provides the maximum brake efficiency. A skid controller 5 gives output of V1, V2 signals, and logical circuits 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 generate signals E1, E2 to drive a hydraulic regulator 11 on the basis of each signal. Since the oil pressure increase rate is contrived to be decreased in response to the increase of the wheel deceleration. When the brake oil pressure increases, high accuracy control can be provided to obtain the maximum brake efficiency even if the deceleration is changed.
