Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a supercooling inhibitor which can surely coagulate without causing supercooling, by mixing a small amount of a heat-accumulating material with a substrate for inhibiting supercooling, heating the mixture to a temperature not lower than the melting temp. of the heat-accumulating material, and then cooling and coagulating it.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture consisting of 100pts.wt. substrate such as Na4P2O7. 10H2O for inhibiting supercooling and 60pts.wt. heat-accumulating material such as NaCH3COO.3H2O, is heated to melt the heat-accumulating material. Then the mixture is cooled and coagulated to form a shaped article composed of NaCH3COO. 3H2O and Na4P2O7.10H2O. The article is cut in a desired shape to obtain a super- cooling inhibitor.
