Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve connection operability and characteristics by providing a clamp with a positioning function by providing projectin parts at both the end parts of a base plate along a wire pressing V groove in its surface, and by providing a positioning projection to the end surface of each projection part. CONSTITUTION:Two core clamps 16 for pressing a fiber core are provided facing a core press V groove 12. Positioning projection 18 are provided, at end parts of the clamps 16 outside of the base plate, projecting to both the sides to position the clamps by being pressed against projection parts 14 of a base plate 11 when the clamps 16 are fitted in the base plate 11. Further, a wire clamp 20 pressing the fiber core is provided between the core clamps. Thus, the clamps 16 are pressed lightly in the direction of the clamp 20 to bring the positioning projections 18 of the clamps 16 into contact with the end surfaces of the projections 14, thereby positioning tehm at constant positions all the time. Therefore, when the clamps 16 and 20 are pressed with proper force after being butted mutually, the wire part is pressed uniformly, improving connection characteristics.
