Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain low cost and convenience of handling by pressing a light wave guide, fitted to a spring, against the other light wave guide that opposes to it by elastic force for the coupling of optical signals. CONSTITUTION:Jack 10 is set in plug 5 of optical fiber connector 13, and consequently light propagating through optical fiber 11 is connected to light wave guide 2 by a permanent connection part by adhesive 7 and further to light wave guide 3 on the side of jack 10 through contact part 4 with the function of connecting formed by being pressed by the elastic force of spring part 1. Since light wave guide 3 is permanently connected to optical fiber 12, optical signals from optical fiber 11 are connected to optical fiber 12 through optical fiber connector 13 eventually. Because of the elastic force of sprint part 1, excessive size precision is not required and convenience of handling is attained.
