PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for adjustment at the time of coupling by the constitution in fitting and inserting a mounting member disposed with a photosemicouductor array and an arranging member disposed with an optical fiber array into a coupling member and allowing the outer sides of the mounting member and the arranging member to closely contact the inner side surface of the arranging member and positioning these. CONSTITUTION:A mounting member 2 mounted with a photosemiconductor array 1 and lead terminals 12 is fixed to a fitting member 7 by means of an adhesive agent in the form that the L-shaped end 8 of the former is held in close contact with the L-shaped end face 8 of the latter. Optical fibers 3 are inserted and arranged into the optical fiber insertion hole 9 of the member 4, and are fixed by means of an adhesive agent, after which the end faces are polished. Said member 4 is mounted to or dismounted from the member 7. If the member 4 is fitted in the form that the convex L-shaped end face 8 of the member 4 closely contacts the concave L-shaped end face 8 of the member 7, the end face 8 of an L shape is pressed in the closely contacting direction by a spring mechanism 11, and this completes the coupling between the arrays of the optical fibers 3 and photosemiconductors array 1.
