Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it easy to polish end surfaces and to miniaturize a switch by transmitting light selectively through the relative rotations of two holders by holding an incident optical fiber by one holder while holding emitting fibers by the other holder. CONSTITUTION:To an optical fiber fixing jig 12, an optical fiber 13 is fixed with an adhesive, and its end surface is polished. A movable jig 14 holding a similarly processed optical fiber 15 is arranged DELTAl away from said fiber. To the optical fiber 15, a rotatable connector 17 is connected.
