Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Plural furnances are connected through a waste gas duct 2 to a stack body 1 the top of which is provided with a splurality of truncated conical waste gas exhaust ports 3. Dampers are rotatably attached to each exhaust port 3 through a driving shaft. When all the furnaces connected to the duct 2 are in operation under rated condition, all the dampers of the waste gas exhaust ports 3 are opened. When one of surfaces is stopped and the others are in operation, one of the dampers is opened. By controlling the dampers according to the operating condition of the furnaces, the discharging rate of waste gas can be kept within a given range.
