Abstract

PURPOSE:To conduct centering by measuring a clearance between a bearing and a shaft, and to conduct alignment with high accuracy without hands by dashing an inner wall of the bearing against an outer circumference of the shaft and detecting displacement up to dashing-against when assembling a rotary machine. CONSTITUTION:Aligning tables 5, 6 are mounted in order to grasp the bearings 3, 4 into which the shaft 2 supported by means of a fixing tool 1 is inserted. A dashing-against detecting member 17 detecting the dashing of the inner wall of the bearing 3 against the shaft 2 is disposed to the aligning table 5. A dashing-against sensor 19 is set up in order to detect the displacement of a dashing-against detecting ring 18, which is fixed rotatably to a nose of a table driving shaft 16, to the aligning table 5. When dashing-against is decided by means of the sensor 19, instruction signals that the counting value of a table displacement detecting member 25 must be entered into a memory circuit are outputted from the sensor 19, and displacement until the inner wall of the bearing 3 is dashed against the shaft 2 can be measured automatically.
