Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure absolute vibration at high accuracy, by taking temperatures in surrounding area of a bearing stand vibration detector for compensations of amplitude gain and phase of output of bearing stand vibration, and then, by processing them in a measuring module together with output of a shaft vibration detector. CONSTITUTION:Output of a detecting probe 3a, which is provided in the neighborhood of a shaft 1, is put into a measurement module 10 through a shaft vibration detector 3. On the other hand, outputs of a detecting probe, which is built in a bearing stand vibration detector 4 attached onto a bearing housing 4, and of a probe 15, which detects temperatures in the surrounding area of the detector 4, are put into the module 10 through a compensating circuit 17 and a phase compensating circuit 18. And, by summing up vibration values detected by eddy current of the shaft vibration detector 3 and the bearing stand vibration detector 4, an absolute vibration value is sought and indicated on an indication meter 14. As it is possible thereby to compensate variation of output due to temperature of the bearing stand vibration detector 4, a highly accurate value can be obtained from the measurement.
