Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the deterioration easily and quickly, by drawing out a bearing lubricant such as grease and detecting the impedance variation of a sensor coil. CONSTITUTION:Bearing grease is draw out in a plastic or glass vessel 1 from a suction inlet 13 by operation of a piston 11. A sensor coil 2 is provided with this vessel 1 and its detection signal is measured by a detection circuit. Output of a standard oscillator 3 is converted into a suitable frequency by a divider 4 in the detection circuit and is inputted into a feedback amplifier 6 and a phase detector 7 after converting into a suitable voltage level by an attenuator 5. A reactance component of the impedance of the coil 2 is varied by iron (ferromagnetic powder) and the output waveform phase of the amplifier 6 is varied by the exist or not and the content of iron. This phase variation is detected by the detector 7 and is amplified and displayed on an indicator 9.
