PURPOSE:To reduce the multi-path distortion, by providing a switching means which switches time constant of a low pass filter constituting a PLL circuit according to the output of a multo-path detection means. CONSTITUTION:If no multi-path exists, since no output signal is present from a multi-path detector 8, a low pass filter time constant switching circuit 9 is operated and the time constant of the low pass filter consisting a stereo demodulator 7 is not switched. Thus, in this case, normal stereo demodulating operation is made. If present, a detection signal is outputted from the multi-path detector 8 is outputted, and the low pass filter time constant switching circuit 9 is operated from the output. Thus, switching is made so that the time constant of the low pass filter constituting the stereo demodulator 7 can sufficiently be greater than normal value. Thus, the variance of phase of a pilot signal produced with the multi-path can be absorbed and the multi-path distortion can be reduced.
