Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a high-fidelity reproduction over the entire frequency band by blocking the direct current to transmit the reproduced signal in case the DC component level in the output signal is high and then transmitting the reproduced signal including the DC band when the DC component level is low each. CONSTITUTION:The following component units are provided: FM demodulator circuit 2; low frequency circuirs 3 and 4 which amplifiy the demodulation signal of circuit 2 from the DC component; circuit 6 which is inserted selectively to the front or rear step of the low frequency circuit to block the DC component; circuit 7 which makes even the DC component pass through; level detector circuit 10 which detects the level of the DC component contained in the output signal of circuit 2; and control circuit 11 which connects circuit 7 to circuits 3 and 4 when the output level of circuit 10 becomes lower than the prescribed level. As a result, a high- fidelity reproduction becomes possible over the entire frequency band.
