Abstract
The circuit arrangement (7) is installed in a VHF receiver. The input of the circuit arrangement is connected to the output of the frequency demodulator (4) of the VHF receiver. The auxiliary carrier frequency is filtered out by means of a filter (10, 12). A first signal dependent on the auxiliary carrier amplitude is generated with a diode (14) and a transistor (17), and a second signal dependent on the modulation of the auxiliary carrier is generated with an amplitude demodulator (21, 22, 23). These two signals control a threshold value switch (30) if the amplitude of the auxiliary carrier and the amplitude of the characteristic range frequency in each case exceed a specific value. On receiving a traffic broadcast transmitter, the circuit arrangement initiates a switching operation which indicates to the user that his receiver is tuned to a traffic broadcast transmitter.
