Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase wide angle radiation characteristics, by rejecting diffractive waves at the edges of main and subreflecting mirrors, through linking the main reflecting mirror with the subreflecting mirror at a power feeding horn with a smooth mirror surface. CONSTITUTION:A subreflecting mirror 2 at a power feeding horn 1 and a main reflecting mirror 4 are linked with a smooth mirror surface 5 consisting of mirror surfaces A1D1 and C1D1. The mirror surface A1D1 is designated so that the incident wave from a phase center point F of the horn 1 goes toward the angle near the main beam. Further, the mirror surface C1D1 is formed so that the incident wave from an edge B2 of another subreflecting mirror 3 radiates near the main beam. In this case, an edge is formed at points C1, D1, A1, but the shape of edge is almost flat, then the diffractive waves can be neglected. Thus, the diffractive wave of a part of edge of the subreflecting mirror 2 and the main reflecting mirror 4 can almost be removed, allowing to increase the wide angle radiation characteristics.
