Abstract
PURPOSE:To elevate the radiation characteristic and the gain, and also reduce the leakage power, by providing electromagnetic lenses on the opening parts of the electromagnetic horns of the antenna which is used in case of exceeding a microwave band, and making the center point of this spherical wave draw near the focus of the main reflector. CONSTITUTION:The main reflector 23 consists of a paraboloid of revolution, whose focus and axis of rotation are F' and Z, respectively. On the opening parts of the electromagnetic horns 24, 25 equipped with a lens for irradiating said reflector are provided electromagnetic lenses 201, 202 consisting of a dielectric, and the center points of the radiation spherical wave of the horns 24, 25 are made focuses Q1', Q2' of the surface of the lenses 201, 202. Also, the center axes Z1, Z2 of the electromagnetic horns 181, 182 are provided so as to be inclined by an angle of + or -alpha against the axis of rotation Z of the reflector 23.
