Abstract
PURPOSE:To optimize the gain of a dipole antenna with a reflecting plate, by taking an interval between a recess reflecting plate and a dipole antenna as >=1/4 the wavelength of employed electromagnetic waves, in an antenna with reflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:After electromagnetic waves from a dipole antenna 1 are reflected on a recessed reflecting plate 4, the phase of electric field produced on an aperture 5 is led in phase compared to the case of a virtual flat plane reflecting plate 6, and when an interval (h) between the plate 4 and the antenna 1 is regulated to >=lambda/4 the wave length of employed electromagnetic waves, the direct waves from the dipole antenna 1 and the reflection waves from the spherical reflection plate 4 are summed in inphase, allowing to optimize the gain toward the main radiation direction.
