Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to change the beam direction with a simple consturction, by inserting the dielectric substance with uneven thickness to a part of the propagation path of electromagnetic waves and turning this dielectric substance. CONSTITUTION:The antenna is constituted with the primary radiator 1, reflection mirror 2 and dielectric substance 4, and the dielectric substance 4 has the construction possible for turning by taking the axis of the primary radiator 1 as the center. The dielectric substance has cylindrical shape and the two planes upper and lower are not parallel but has a given tilt angle alpha and is constituted with the dielectric substance of dielectric constant epsilon. When the dielectric substance 4 having the construction like this is inserted to the propagation path of electromagnetic waves, the direction of progress of electromagnetic waves can be changed by the difference of the phase speed in the dielectric substance 4.
