Abstract
PURPOSE:To form easily a high-performance fan-shaped beam antenna, by combining paraboloid reflection mirrors and parabolic cylindrical face reflection mirrors as prescribed. CONSTITUTION:Original axially-symmetrical rotary paraboloid reflection mirror 5 is divided into three by two planes which are parallel with optical axis Z and are distant from axis Z by length l. Two paraboloid reflection mirror parts 2 and 4 obtained in this manner are deflected with focus F as the center so that respective aperture faces may make angle beta shown in the expression. In this expression, phi and theta are the directivity half power width of a desired fan-shaped beam and the power half width of the same type antenna, which has the half gain of the antenna consisting of the original rotary paraboloid reflection mirror, respectively. And the spacing part between the deflected reflection mirrors 2, 4 is blocked with the parabolic cylindrical face reflection mirror 3. If a primary radiator 8 is provided in focus F of the antenna formed in this manner, a fan-shaped directivity of a rapid rise can be obtained. Thus, a high-performance fan-shaped beam antenna can be obtained.
