Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress cross polarization component, by engraving a plurality of grooves on a reflecting plane of a reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:A blow type antenna 2 is provided by opposing to a reflecting plane of a parabolic reflection mirror 1, and a plurality of concentric grooves 3 are engraved on the reflection plane of the mirror 1. Where lambda is the wavelength, the depth D of the grooves 3 is lambda/4 and the width W is selected sufficiently smaller than lambda. Thus, a current component flowing to the (y) direction orthogonal to the (x) direction being the polarized plane major direction of the antenna 2 can be cancelled and the radiation of the cross polarization component can be suppressed by the provision of the grooves 3.
