Abstract

PURPOSE:To make terminal fixing simple and sure and to stabilize a terminated part by sandwiching the tensile bodies of a cable between a bushing part formed into a taper shape in outside circumference and a ring part provided with a hole fitting to this tape. CONSTITUTION:A hollow bushing part 8 of which the outside circumference is formed to a taper shape, and a ring part 6 which is formed with a hole 7 fitting to the taper of this bushing with good accuracy are used, and optical fiber cores 5 and tensile bodies 3 are passed into the hole 7 and only the optical fiber cores are passed through the hole 9 of the bushing part 8, after which the part 8 is fitted loosely into the hole 7 of the part 6. Upon completion of the above-mentioned work, the part 6 is inserted into the secondary sheath 2 of a cable 1 until it abuts on the cut end face 2' of the sheath, thence while the bodies 3 are being pulled, the part 8 is inserted into the hole 7 of the part 6, whereby the bodies 3 are put in close contact in the clearance between both parts. Thereby, the stable terminated part is obtained and workability is improved.
